Laramie County Detention Center Expansion

Complete structural engineering design services and specialty masonry inspection services for a 37,250 SF addition to the Laramie County Law Enforcement Center. The site was constrained, which forced a multi-story addition adjacent to the existing single-story building. The expansion required some limited removal of the existing structure which allowed for the multistory addition to be offset from the existing building, thereby eliminating interference between dissimilar foundation systems; the original structure was founded on shallow traditional footings and the expansion was founded on a deep drilled piers.
