- Client: Arete Design Group
- Owner: University of Wyoming
The War Memorial Stadium West Side Renovation project consists of a full replacement of the lower west side stadium section in addition adding a club level, full renovation of the press boxes and rebuilding the west side elevator. The existing lower west side stadium originally constructed in the early 1950’s was removed and replaced with modern seating which includes seat backs, loge boxes and a club level. The new club level is situated between the upper west side stadium section and the new lower section. The club level features food service amenities, restrooms, and enclosed club space with full height glass facing the field. The club level is accessed by the stadium ramp system and the new elevators which are located adjacent to the existing field house and are connected to the club and concourse levels with new pedestrian bridges. Two elevator cabs replace the older single cab elevator on the west side allowing for access over the entire height of the west side of the stadium. The multi-level press box above the west side upper stands was completely renovated and modernized with full height glazing facing the field. The field level of the project includes new plaza space, visitor locker rooms, concessions, restrooms and retail areas below the new lower stands.
